Hi everyone, Stacy here and I am back again after another week with Away A Wee Walk. I hope you all had a fab Easter and got up to something exciting. Sorry for posting late, we had one office day and a walk on Thursday, so I never had the chance to get this blog uploaded last week.
Eimear and I both took Monday and Tuesday off following the Easter holiday. However, we were back into the office bright and early on Wednesday morning. I spent the day gathering blog topics that would be useful to discuss on the website and help build the overall SEO performance. I also hope it gives you guys a better understanding of Away A wee Walk and what Ireland has to offer. We have come up with some great blog topics and I hope to get some pieces published before I leave in May – yes, that’s right, five more weeks until I will be finished my placement with Away A Wee Walk… where has the time gone!
On Thursday, we went on a big hike of part of the Causeway Coast Way, starting at Ballintoy Harbour and finishing at the Giant’s Causeway Visitor Centre. The walk was just under 5 hours, the views I got to experience made it all worthwhile. There were parts of the walk I had never seen or heard of before, which is crazy considering I have lived in Northern Ireland since I was born. The weather was pleasant the whole day with a light shower at the beginning of the walk and the wind was nice to us, making walking around the cliff-top that little easier. While on the walk we came across places such as Dunseverick Castle and Whitepark Bay. When we got close to Dunseverick Castle we came across sheep and I must say they were the most unbothered sheep I have ever come across before, as you can see from the picture.
Although my legs hurt the next day after the walk, I realised just how beautiful Ireland is. We have so many things to offer and show off in our little country! This stunning walk is part of our three-night walking holiday, or you can do the high cliff section as a day tour.
